Turn Up the Volume. Take the Stage.

There's nothing quite like the excitement of making music with a band. OLA Music Academy's Rock Band program gives students the opportunity to rehearse, collaborate, and perform alongside other musicians while developing the skills needed to play as part of a live ensemble.

Designed for instrumentalists and vocalists, students learn how to listen, communicate, and perform together as a band while exploring music from a variety of rock, pop, and contemporary artists. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, rehearsals focus on musical accuracy, stage presence, teamwork, and building confidence in a fun and encouraging environment.

Throughout the program, students experience what it's like to be part of a real band by preparing songs for live performances and recitals. Every rehearsal strengthens musicianship while teaching the importance of collaboration, responsibility, and supporting one another on stage.

Whether students dream of performing professionally or simply want the excitement of making music with friends, Rock Band provides an unforgettable experience that inspires confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of performing.

Musical Theatre Ages 5-8 and 9+

Triple-threat training in singing, dancing, and acting. Students work toward fully staged productions while building confidence, creativity, and a deep love for the stage.

Musical Theatre (Ages 5–8)

Young performers discover the exciting world of musical theatre through singing, acting, and dance in a fun, supportive environment. Using age-appropriate songs, scenes, and choreography, students develop confidence, creativity, and teamwork while building a strong foundation in stage performance.

Throughout the year, students work together to prepare for exciting performances, learning stage presence, character development, vocal technique, and simple choreography. Every class encourages imagination, self-expression, and the joy of performing in front of an audience.

Wednesdays 3:30–5:00

Tuition $155 per month

A costume fee of $50 will be due on October 1st and April 1st

Musical Theatre Company (Ages 9+)

Designed for aspiring performers, this program develops the skills needed to bring stories to life through singing, acting, and dance. Students explore material from both classic and contemporary musicals while strengthening vocal technique, stage movement, character development, and performance skills.

Working collaboratively with their cast, students rehearse and perform full-scale musical productions, gaining valuable experience both on and off the stage. Along the way, they build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for the performing arts in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Thursdays 4:30–6:30

Drama 9+

Explore the craft of acting through improvisation, scene work, and character study. Students develop communication skills, empathy, and the confidence to express themselves — on stage and in life.

Where Imagination Takes Centre Stage

Drama is more than learning lines — it's about building confidence, developing creativity, and discovering the power of storytelling. In our engaging and supportive classes, students are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones while exploring characters, emotions, and the art of live performance.

Through theatre games, improvisation, scene work, and scripted performances, students develop the essential foundations of acting, including voice projection, stage movement, character development, emotional expression, and stage presence. Working with scenes from a variety of theatrical productions, students gain the skills and confidence to bring stories to life while learning the importance of collaboration and teamwork.

Throughout the year, students work toward exciting performances that celebrate their growth and creativity. Whether they are stepping onto the stage for the very first time or building on previous experience, every student is encouraged to learn, perform, and shine in a welcoming and inspiring environment.

Step into the exciting world of film and television with a program designed to prepare aspiring actors for today's industry. Whether students dream of booking their first audition or pursuing acting professionally, our classes provide the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to navigate Vancouver's thriving film and television community.

Located in one of North America's leading film production centres, OLA Music Academy offers practical, industry-informed training that reflects the expectations of today's film and television world. Students gain valuable insight into both the artistic and professional aspects of working on screen.

Using scenes from popular films and television productions, students develop authentic on-camera acting techniques while learning how to adjust their performances for the camera. Classes explore audition preparation, self-taping, script analysis, character development, improvisation, and the professional expectations of working on set.

Led by instructors with real industry experience, the program combines acting workshops, scene study, audition coaching, and practical industry knowledge to help students develop both confidence and versatility as performers.

Whether students are exploring acting for the first time or are serious about pursuing opportunities in the industry, this program provides a supportive environment where they can challenge themselves, refine their craft, and build the skills needed to succeed in Vancouver's dynamic film and television community.

Where Creativity Begins

Give your child the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of music and the performing arts. Designed especially for young learners, our Early Childhood Music & Drama program combines music, movement, singing, storytelling, and imaginative play in a warm, engaging environment where every child is encouraged to explore, create, and shine.

Through interactive games and hands-on activities, students are introduced to the foundations of music, including rhythm, melody, singing, and simple musical concepts, while also discovering the excitement of dramatic play. As they sing, move, act, and perform together, children naturally develop confidence, communication skills, coordination, creativity, and social interaction.

Our nurturing instructors understand that these early years are about more than learning music — they're about building self-confidence, encouraging curiosity, and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
